Where is 2026 Assembly taking place?
Assembly programming will take place at MASS MoCA, located at 1040 Mass MoCA Way, North Adams, MA 01247. Dinner on Tuesday, October 13 will be off-site at a venue to be announced. Local ground transportation will be provided for all Assembly programs.
Can I attend both the 2026 and 2027 Assembly events?
No, invitees must choose one or the other. Please register for only one convening. Offerings will be similar at both Assembly gatherings. Due to capacity constraints at both locations, there will be a maximum number of registrations. Depending on demand, we may open a waitlist.
What can I look forward to?
At each Assembly convening, attendees can expect equivalent offerings for learning, collaboration, and connection.
Choose from curated presentations covering money matters for artists at various stages, protection of artistic work and legacies, as well as education on field-wide efforts to enshrine the economic rights of creative workers, and the state of the media.
Additional drop-in activities include collaborative jam sessions for sharing work, somatic exploration to reconnect with the body, and rest and reflection in a quiet writer’s lounge.
Finally, we’ll offer morning and evening keynotes with distinguished guests, and plenty of time and space to enjoy meals together.

Location and Venues
The 2026 Assembly will take place at MASS MoCA, where for decades, the museum has supported artists of all persuasions. MASS MoCA is located at 1040 Mass MoCA Way, North Adams, MA 01247.
MASS MoCA is most easily reached via Albany International Airport (ALB), the closest major airport. Guests may also arrive via car or train station. We will arrange shuttle transportation from Albany airport and Albany Rensselaer Amtrak station to the host hotels based on guest itineraries.
Terms
This is a private, invitation-only event. This invitation is personal and may not be transferred. We have limited capacity, and space is first come, first served. Assembly is open to all USA Fellows and Artadia Awardees who received an award or fellowship between 2020–2026, as well as a select cohort of recipients of other USA award programs. This website is managed by the Assembly planning team comprising staff from USA and Artadia, and our event production company, Looking Glass Creative.
